Meet the Expert: David Crombie, Canyoning Instructor

Canyoning is an activity that allows a group of friends of varying abilities to experience an adrenaline buzz together. It’s about fun and excitement – no personal skill needed - and a variety of challenges thrown at you to test your nerves.  The gorges and waterfalls used for canyoning would be busy tourist attractions if everybody could get to them – it gets you to stunning locations seldom seen by others.  Tackle spectacular waterfalls as you jump, slide, swing, swim and climb your way along, guided by imposing gorge walls. Snowdonia has an impressive array of venues to choose from, created by the years of cascading water eroding steep mountainsides.  As routes dictate, ropes may be used for safety in the form of handrails, swings, zip lines or abseils. Make sure you have got a head for heights!
