Snowdonia Mountain Bike Festival 2007

Press Release March 2007 Snowdonia Bike Fest 12/13 May ‘07 Snowdonia Bike Fest is a 2 day mountain bike festival to be held in the Gwydyr Forest, above Betws-y-Coed. It promises to be a bike festival to remember. The organisers have partnered up with top bike manufacturers Giant and Specialized who will be providing over 100 demo bikes, component manufacturers SRAM and Magura who will be providing technical support, Mountain Bike Rider magazine who will be providing media support and the Forestry Commission. Over both days there will be a chance to come along and demo ride some of the latest Mountain Bikes by top manufacturers Giant and Specialized on a way-marked demo route. On the Saturday there will be a chance to go on guided rides with a choice of routes offering varying degrees of technical riding and distances. There will also be a great opportunity for bikers to book on to some technical coaching sessions to improve their skills. Also on the Saturday there will be a marked ride specifically for women, so if you are a female mountain biker and you have a friend who fancies giving mountain biking a go, come along with your friend, borrow a bike for her and she can ‘have a go’! On the Sunday we will be hosting the Third Round of the ‘Specialized Challenge Series’ where there will be 2 way-marked routes to suit different abilities. With goodie bags, medals and certificates for the riders and lots to see and do, this will be a mountain biking festival the like of which has never been seen before in North Wales.
