THE WELLY TOURNAMENT

We were delighted to sponsor the pitches and flags of the recent Welly Tournament at Llandudno Rugby Club. This junior rugby tournament was in honour of Llewelyn “Welly” Evans who was an outstanding athlete, rugby player and character who played through the ranks of Llandudno Rugby Club. He was an elite soldier serving with the Royal Commandos in four operations but was tragically killed in action in the Gulf War on 21 March 2003 having successfully completed one of the first “special operations” of the conflict.
