Summer Steam Spectacular at The Welsh Highland Railway (Porthmadog)
Steam trains are running every day through the holidays. Join us for a ride through the Snowdonia countryside, as well as chance to visit the engine sheds. There's a double steam spectacular from July 28th - August 29th when, courtesy of West Coast Railways, steam trains return to the Cambrian Coast main line between Machynlleth, Barmouth & Porthmadog, travelling across the spectacular Barmouth Bridge.
"The Cambrian" runs from Mondays to Fridays each week, and continues through to Pwllheli on certain days. The steam loco will be a BR Standard "Black 4" (No 76079). Passengers on "The Cambrian" can also get a discount of 10% on a ride on the Welsh Highland Railway (Porthmadog). Simply come to our shop and show your ticket from the main line train.
