Well, the first thing to note is that we survived. So, from 'The Beginning'. You Have to sign the obligitory "In case of death or injury, nothing is our fault" declaration waiver.(At this stage we are still laughing and joking, full of bravado.) Once your life is signed away, you get kitted out, hard hat, and Safety Harness, (Still no sign of Fear.) As we walk to the start, comments of "That looks a bit high" and "Do you still want to do it", creep into the conversation (From Michael mainly). The safety talk was very good, it puts you completely at ease, (But now there is alot of nervous laughter from everyone) but still no one backs out. "The Start". The safety line is attached, (Last chance to back out). The First Task is not very high. I think the idea is to break you in gently (This is easy). Then from the second task to the last task (They are not so easy) They also get higher. Or I should say, you stay at roughly the same level as you make your way around. It's just the ground that drops away. You hear a lot of colourful language in the trees (!**! - Mainly from Michael) and comments like 'Only Birds and Sqirrels belong in Trees'. To sum it up, we both thought it was great. If you are into things that get the blood and adrenalin pumping, or just want to scare the pants off yourself then give this a go. We thought it was so good we are foolishly going again. We have some friends staying soon and just want to see their faces and hear them scream...... Two Top tips: First task use straight arms do not pull the rope towards you. Second tip is simple don't let go. We recommend using one of those head cameras. They can be hired from the bike hire shop in Betws.
We think you will enjoy this. It gets our approval.
