New postcards

A few new postcards have been added, as can be seen by following the link below. These are mainly to strengthen the range a little in certain areas – the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains, Llanberis, Porthmadog. One of these pictures, of Abi on Corn Du in the evening, is being used by Ordnance Survey as their main point of display picture this year. A couple of Snowdon Mountain Railway interest have also been added. The Railway is our largest single customer, and this year the train will not be going to the summit because the summit station and café are being rebuilt. When we were last on the summit at Christmas, just a flat floorslab was left of the previous building. The replacement should be a great improvement, though I personally believe that a great opportunity was missed to do the ‘Swiss’ thing and put the building wholly inside the mountain with anti-glare glass windows on each of the 3 faces. |
